**Heatstroke Signs & Response:**
- Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy
- Immediate action: Move to cool area, apply cool (not cold) water
- Never use ice or freezing water - can cause shock

**Common Emergency Signs:**
- Difficulty breathing
- Pale or blue gums
- Severe vomiting or diarrhea
- Inability to urinate or defecate
- Loss of consciousness

**First Aid Priorities:**
1. Ensure safety (yours and the pet's)
2. Assess the situation
3. Contact emergency contacts
4. Provide appropriate first aid
